Skogens Kol was formed during the rise of industrialism in Sweden. In 1876, to be exact.
At that time, charcoal was vital to the production at the large ironworks, and the demand for coal was enormous. The company bought woodland and established strategically located charcoal sites along the main line up north. Eventually the company decided to go in for a more industrial production, and built the plant in Sibo outside Kilafors, that is still in use. Now we are the only industrial maker of charcoal in Scandinavia, and we maintain a very high quality on our products.
SIS Certified
Skogens Kol AB has been certified in accordance with Swedish Standard – SS18 72 10. This means that our charcoal and briquettes for barbecuing satisfy the requirements and tests put forth by SIS.
Stocks and logistics
Prompt and reliable deliveries are sure signs of quality. Since we have the capacity to store at least 10.000 Euro pallets under roof, our customers don't have keep their own stocks. We deliver directly by order. Once the order is placed, the customer will receive the goods within three days in Sweden, Norway and Finland.
