Rock salt is mined and crushed to a suitable fraction. The salt is mined in selected parts and is therefore of high quality. Rock salt works well in the food industry with its mild saltiness. Fine-grained rock salt is advantageously used as bakery salt. Coarse-grained rock salt is not iodized.
